NOTE
In the event that the vehicle’s battery is replaced, discharged or disconnected,
it will be necessary to start the vehicle a minimum of one time using the key prior
to activating the remote engine start system. This is required to allow the vehicle
electronic systems to resynchronize.

1) Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
2) Remove the gusset cover.
Attach the protective tape (a) to the door trim.
Release the clips and claws, then detach the gusset cover.
3) Remove the front door trim assembly.
