Lights A and B are the LED (Light Emitting Diode) type. Consult your SUBARU dealer
for replacement.
WARNING
Bulbs may become very hot while illuminated. Before replacing bulbs, turn of

Outback License plate light
1. Remove the mounting screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
2. Remove the lens.
3. Pull the bulb out of the socket.
4. Install a new bulb.
5. Reinstall the lens.
6. Tighten the mounting screws.
Rear gate (Outback) – if the rear gate cannot be unlocked
In the event that you cannot unlock the rear gate by operating the power door
locking switches or the remote keyless entry system, you can unlock it from inside
the cargo area.
1. Remove the access cover at the bottom-center of the rear gate trim using flat-head
screwdriver.
