Subaru Outback (BR): To decrease the speed (by brake pedal)
1. Depress the brake pedal to release cruise control temporarily.
2. When the speed decreases to the desired speed, press the “RES/SET” switch
to the “SET” side once. Now the desired speed is set and the vehicle will keep running
at that speed without depressing the accelerator pedal.

● The select lever cannot be operated unless the ignition switch is turned to
the “ON” position and the brake pedal is depressed.
● The select lever cannot be moved from the “P” position to any
vehicle damage or malfunction caused by trailer towing. If you use your vehicle
to tow a trailer, more frequent maintenance will be required due to the additional
load. (Refer to “Maintenance schedule under severe driving conditions” in the “Warranty
and Maintenance Booklet”.)
